Girl Scout Law Learner Ladder This
learner ladder is fun to make and practical too - once
you finish, this ladder, use it as a tool to help you
memorize the Girl Scout Law. Start from the bottom the
the ladder, use the initials to help you remember the
words, as you recite the Girl Scout Law, slide the beads
downwards to keep track of the parts you have already
recited.

mat or board or use a pace mat or table cloth
to help cushion the surface and keep beads from
rolling off the table and onto the floor)
1)
Cut a 36" piece of cording, fold the
cord in half and string on the key ring or
lanyard hook.
2)
Knot the cording about 3/8" from the
key ring, this will secure the key ring onto
the cording.
3)
Onto to one strand, string on the
first set of beads in this order -
S, lavender bead, S
4)
Then grab the other strand and string it backwords
through the beads. Then pull both strings
until the beads are even and straight.
5)
Continue this technique until all the beads
have been strung.
Here is the sequence (see photo of finished
project above)
S - lavender bead - S
M - pink bead - W
R - green bead - W
R - dark pink bead - A
R - purple bead - M
R - orange bead - S
C - red bead - S

F - yellow bead - H
H - light blue bead - F

6)
When all beads have been strung, tie a knot
about 2" below. The reason for this is
because you will need room to slide the beads
down.
7)
This
photo shows the bottom of the ladder which
is actually the beginning of the Girl Scout
Law. The initials will help you remember the
words, as you recite the Girl Scout Law, slide
the beads downwards to keep track of the parts
you have already recited.
